My primary project was centred around data architecture, analysis and reporting on boating data. Kaenan was a great mentor and manager during this process, pushing me to think critically and allowing me to develop my own technical skillset whilst working through the process of completing deliverables. He was supportive and flexible when it came to scheduling. Would definitely recommend Insurtech Advisors' project postings to future Riipen students if you want to learn and grow through interesting and challenging work!

Working with Insurtech Advisors, and in particular Dr. Kaenan Hertz, was such an incredible experience. I got to develop my analytical, programming, and communication skills through the project I was assigned, which was to develop a program to count the number of boats present in a given satellite image. I learnt so much from this experience, getting exposed to fields such as machine learning and AI that this project has given me a taste of, and that I would consider pursuing further as a result. Kaenan was amazing to work with, making himself available through email and video calls to check on the progress of the project. Very enjoyable project to work on which was also quite challenging but I learned a lot. Kaenan was very friendly and answered any questions I had which helped me better define the scope of what was expected.
