Working with Inside Innovation on the Purse Business Launch Plan was an incredibly rewarding experience. As part of the RRC Polytech Business Management project, I had the opportunity to contribute to a real-world entrepreneurial initiative grounded in sustainability and creative strategy. The support from the Inside Innovation team, especially the guidance from project lead Susan Kates, helped foster an environment of collaboration and purpose. The entire process—from conducting field research at The Forks Market to developing digital marketing strategies—allowed me to apply business theory directly to a market-ready product. Being entrusted to help shape a brand that values ethical production, cultural aesthetics, and customizable design gave me a deep appreciation for value-driven entrepreneurship. I’m proud to have been part of a team that challenged conventional fashion norms with fresh, conscious innovation. Thank you.

Purse Business Launch Plan

Inside Innovation is exploring the opportunity to enter the fashion accessory market by launching a new line of purses. The goal of this project is to develop a comprehensive business plan that outlines the steps necessary to successfully start and sustain a purse business. This includes market research to identify target demographics, competitive analysis to understand the current market landscape, and the development of a unique value proposition. The project will also involve creating a marketing strategy that leverages digital platforms and social media to reach potential customers. Additionally, learners will be tasked with outlining an operational plan that includes sourcing materials, production processes, and distribution channels. The project aims to provide learners with the opportunity to apply their classroom knowledge in business strategy, marketing, and operations management to a real-world scenario.

Research Assistant Needed

Are you curious as to how companies innovated during the pandemic? Looking for research assistance in the area of Innovation and Entrepreneurship. I want to focus on any industry, preferably Canadian and/or the US that is small to medium sized. Smaller businesses have to use ingenuity to be able to make changes. Also, I am looking for not just digital solutions, I am looking for other innovative ideas that were used. Innovation is really the key but also looking at what tools they used, and how did they actually do it. It is important to understand not just who they are but how did they achieve their goal. Did they use an outside consultant? Did they develop an innovation team internally? What frameworks did they use? These are just some of the questions I have as I think about how businesses survived these trying times. I think this would require about 10 hours a week, and I am open to helping in whatever way I can.
