Digital Marketing Strategy for our Second store
We want students to help us develop a digital marketing strategy for our second store set to open in September 2024. We’d like to know how we can maximize different channels and what will work best for us.The main questions we’d like students to help us answer are the following:How should we promote our company?What social media channels should we utilize?What budget is appropriate for advertising?What messaging should we use?
Website Development / SEO
Our company advertises thousands of products online. We hope to update our existing website to attract more customers as well as link our products to their respective inventory.We would like to work with students to update our website, creating an appealing interface for users. This can be achieved through common site building tools such as Shopify.This will involve several different steps for the students, including:Linking products to inventory.Ensuring the correct sales channels are selected.Cropping and adding images and formatting Descriptions.Adjusting product descriptions and meta descriptions for SEO optimization.Bonus steps in the process would also include:Creating Matrix items based on our bulk listings.
Online store finishing touches and Newsletter creation.
The main goal for this project to to put the finishing touches on our Shopify website and create SEO optimized blog posts and newsletters. To complete this project, the following tasks will need to be achieved:1. Update listings on Shopify with product descriptions, categories / tags etc from Revel. 2. Update the menu and ensure all products are categorized appropriately.3. Create SEO optimized blog posts in alignment with our company values. 4. Create a weekly newsletter to engage with our online community. 5. Create matrix listings for products with weights and images provided by the inventory manager.

The main goal for this project to to put the finishing touches on our Shopify website to enable us to fully move from WordPress to shopify.To complete this project, the following tasks will need to be achieved:1. Update listings on shopify with product descriptions, categories / tags etc from Revel. 2. Update the menu and ensure all products are categorized appropriately.3. Update current word press blog posts with new product links and migrate them to Shopify.4. Create pages on shopify to replace Wordpress pages.
Web Development for SEO and user experience.
PickEco Refills is a zero waste grocery store that puts people and the planet over profits. We are looking to update our online website to create a more user friendly shopping experience. We would like to work with students to ensure our website has a high SEO ranking.This will involve several different steps for the students, including:Conducting a needs analysis to determine what areas of the current website require the most attention (Potentially using Yost within Shopify.)Updating our website, with our assistance in providing the content.Upload SEO optimized photo and meta description of products.Find and list duplicate products.Writing SEO optimized copy for products and posts.Bonus steps in the process would also include:Assessing the before and after ranking.
Content creation for Farmer's market phase 1
We are looking for students to help create content for a farmers market that takes place from May to October. Phase 1 will include the pre market social media posts. This will include:Working with project leads to come up with content ideas for Instagram and google ads. Editing video and creating templates for sponsorship adsplanning the pre market season social media calendrer.
Content Creation and Newsletter design
We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. PickEco Refills is a Zero Waste grocery store. Our aim is to help our customers reduce their environmental footprint through meaningful and waste free shopping and education. We are not just here to sell a product, we want to make the world a cleaner and greener place. We are an inclusive space within our community, and we want everybody to feel welcome and safe. Ultimately, you will be working on the design and implementation for our Zero waste grocery store. We are looking for students to help create content for an environmentally focused social media account. We have a team of freedivers who clean up garbage from local lakes and rivers, we would like to grow this account to encourage more people to clean up in their community.This will include:Working with project leads to come up with content ideas for Instagram, TikTok and YouTubeEditing video footage to create engaging videos.Writing environmentally focused posts to enable us to reach a broader audience.
Creating graphic design assets Including logo and brand kits
We're looking for a student to help us with the creation of graphic design assets for 2 separate environmentally focused projects. This will include:Working with project leads to come up with logo's, color themes and branding guides that aligns with our mission.Creating graphic design assets for social media accounts and websites, such as logo's letterheads, typeface, imagery, color scheme palette.

The main goal for this project to to put the finishing touches on our Shopify website to enable us to fully move from WordPress to shopify.To complete this project, the following tasks will need to be achieved:1. Update listings on shopify with product descriptions, categories / tags etc from Revel. 2. Update the menu and ensure all products are categorized appropriately.3. Update photos to a standard format.4. Find and address duplicate product listings.
Grant Writing for environmentally focused businesses.
We are looking for assistance in finding and completing grant applications that support our mission and vision statement.We believe this project will include:Assist with defining a company-identified community problem.Develop a needs statement that characterizes the community problem and justifies the need for our project and funding.Identify potential sponsors and funding opportunities that are a good fit for our organization and potential projects. Interpret a request for proposal (RFP).
Translate Employee handbook and training manual into French.
Our company has a newly developed employee handbook and training manual. We would like to have our training manual available in both of Canada's official languages to ensure a more inclusive workplace.
Testing and refining of Employee Training manual.
We would like to test and refine our employee training manual.This project should focus on:Testing our training manual and refining the material to prepare us to digitize our employee training.Assessing existing on-line training platforms and recommending the best platform for this course.We have lots of existing content to share, so the project wouldn't be starting from scratch. The bulk of the project would be course testing and deisgn.

We would like a group of students to design a prototype mobile application for our current service based division.This will involve:Conduct background research on the services we offer.Identify key areas of our current product and how they might translate to a mobile application.Learn and use various software design tools. Creation of a screen by screen UX / UI prototype of a native web application which can be used on both iOS and Android.

PickEco Refills is a zero waste grocery store that has been open for 4 years. We have been making house made products for our customers for over 3 years and we are working on branding them to enable us to sell them to a broader market. We are currently refining formulations and labels and we are looking for a marketing strategy to enable us to launch our natural skincare brand.
Press Release Creation
PickEco Refills is a zero waste grocery store with a real passion! We want to be recognized in our community and nationally for the work that we are doing in environmentalism. We have a great story to tell and we want it to be picked up by media outlets. We need students to create press releases for us.Students will need to:Help us refine our story to something compelling and news-worthyHelp us tell the story of our founder who also free dives local lakes to clean up trashWrite up press releases around multiple news-worthy storiesIdentify media outlets that are most beneficial to us/most likely to pick the story upSend press releases and establish positive rapport with local media contactsFind media exposure for our organization
New Employee Training Development
Our company has a unique way of doing sales which is challenging to learn for new hires. We need an online course that will introduce employees to their roles, take employees through all start-up resources, and provide our founder with standardized feedback and data about employee progress.We would like to automate our onboarding process for our business and reduce the time spent by our founder on repetitive onboarding tasks.

Our company would like to create an app for our sign post installation division.
