Chemical engineer by training, professional photographer by chance, Solopreneur by design. Visual storyteller at heart.
Julie practiced engineering for 10 years before taking time off to raise a family. Since then she has developed her passion and honed her photography and visual storytelling skills from which she has made her career. Julie has two companies: Pretty in Pictures started in 2007 and Julie Williams Fine Art Photography since 2020. The first focuses on her photography services, primarily portrait and event-based. Storytelling Travel Tour Workshops
Julie Williams has enjoyed being the official photographer for a number of high-profile organizations including the Women's Law Association of Ontario and the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville. Her images have received international recognition and awards.Julie combines her passion for travel and storytelling skills to create Storytelling Travel Tour Workshops for adult and senior programming. This one-hour program is a stunning visual tour of locations Julie has travelled around the globe. Julie is looking for an individual to help expand the workshop offerings and to design promotional material for the workshops. The ideal candidate will share a love of travel and visual storytelling to assist with: the research and content creation for more tours (example locations include: Vancouver, Halifax/Nova Scotia, Ottawa/Tulip Festival, Las Vegas/Grand Canyon, and New York City);creation of presentation materials with Julie's images using PowerPoint slides or other presentation software;creation of promotional material for the workshops for email and social media campaigns.

Julie is looking for an individual to help develop engaging content and to design and implement promotional material for her website. The ideal candidate will share a love of photo journalism and possess strong creative writing skills to assist with:content writing to describe the product offerings;updating of the website with the descriptions and creating relevant tags/ labels to assist with internet search; andcreation of promotional material for monthly email newsletters and social media campaigns.
