Details

The project's main goal is to conduct market research for a new software product. We already offer board management software to the condo and nonprofit market. We would like to offer ticketing/support services for the condo/HOA market.

The research will focus on understanding the target users' needs, preferences, and pain points to inform the development of the new software product.

This will involve several different steps for the students, including:

- Conducting surveys and interviews with potential users of the new product. This includes condo/HOA managers, owners, condo directors to gather feedback and insights.

- Analyzing the data collected to identify common themes, preferences, pain points & potential benefits.

- Researching the market to understand the competitive landscape and potential opportunities for the new software product.

- Creating a report summarizing the findings and recommendations for the new software product.

Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities:

- Conducted surveys and interviews with a sample of potential product users.

- Analyzed the data collected to identify key insights and trends.

- Researched the market and identified potential opportunities and threats.

- Created a comprehensive report summarizing the findings and recommendations for the new software product.

Final deliverables:

- A detailed report including the research methodology, key findings, and recommendations for the new software product.

- A presentation summarizing the research findings and recommendations.

Mentorship

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • Who is our target market?
  • Which of our products and services are most popular?
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
