With your help, we hope to analyze current market trends and collect information on potential customers and competitors for the following services and technologies that can help HVAC mechanical service companies provide better energy efficiency solutions for their clients, such as property and facility managers and building operators:
- Energy management and efficiency solutions for buildings.
- GHG Emissions Reduction.
- Energy Audits.
- Retro-Commissioning.
- Energy Management Systems.
- Smart Building Solutions.
- Incentive and Rebate Assistance.
This will involve several different steps for the students, including:
- Researching the target market in Calgary, Alberta including data such as demand, spending power, accessibility, and creating a weighted decision matrix to assign importance to each factor.
- What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should complete the following list of activities.
- Research our target market in Calgary, Alberta and create a weighted decision matrix.
- Create a survey based on the appropriate target market.
- Analyze survey data collected, using the weighted decision matrix they created to decide market demand and the best services for us to expand to.
- Create a report including all research, survey data, and analysis with recommendations based on the weighted decision matrix.
Final deliverables should include
- A report including all research, survey data, and analysis with recommendations based on the weighted decision matrix.
- A slide deck to be presented to the CEO explaining the report including all choices made and recommendations.
