What is the main goal for this project?

The goal of this project is to create a social media campaign to map the experiences of Black renters in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). This will involve several different steps for the students, including:


  • Researching the current landscape of Black renters in the GTA.
  • Developing a strategy for the social media campaign.
  • Creating content for the campaign, including graphics, videos, and written posts.
  • Engaging with the Black community in the GTA to collect stories and experiences.
  • Analyzing the data collected from the campaign and creating a report.


What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:


  • Understanding of the current landscape of Black renters in the GTA.
  • Development of a strategy for the social media campaign.
