Project Examples

Starting in September 2021, student-consultants (upper-year Psychology undergraduate students) in groups of 4-5 will spend 25 hours per student designing a recruitment and selection system (or a component of a hiring system) for a position within your organization.

Sample student projects include, but are not limited to:

  • designing interview guides
  • designing work sample tests
  • providing advice on recruitment strategies
  • assessing the effectiveness of current hiring practices
  • providing recommendations on legal compliance of hiring practices

This list of project examples is by no means exhaustive. If you have another project idea that relates to personnel recruitment or selection please use Riipen’s in-app chat to contact the professor, who will work with you to determine if it’s a fit for this assignment.

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Share feedback and recommendations on an as-needed basis determined by the instructor

Provide a dedicated contact who will be available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address student’s questions or provide additional information.

Be available for a quick phone call with the organizer to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the experience.

Minimum of 2-3 interactions with the students in-person or remotely (approximately 4-6 hours over the duration of the project).
