Digital Borrowing System for Sustainable Resource Sharing

Regenesis York aims to promote sustainability by encouraging the efficient use of shared resources within the community. The goal of this project is to create and manage a digital borrowing system that allows community members to easily access reusable items. This system will reduce waste and promote the reuse of items such as tools, books, and household goods. The project will involve designing a user-friendly web application that allows users to browse available items, reserve them, and track their borrowing history. The system should also include an administrative interface for managing inventory and user accounts. By implementing this digital borrowing system, Regenesis Toronto hopes to foster a culture of sharing and sustainability within the community.Key components of the project include:- Developing a web application for item browsing and reservation.- Creating a user account system for tracking borrowing history.- Designing an administrative interface for inventory and user management.- Ensuring the system is secure and user-friendly.

Outreach Coordinating

We are looking for assistance in organizing a outreach in support of our mission of empowering students as initiators of change in addressing today’s social and environmental concerns.We believe this project will include:Participating in outreach training and promotions during key datesPutting together research via our database for lecture schedulesDelivering lecture announcements to classrooms about Regenesis, who we are, what we do, and why to support usDistribute promotional materials to studentsAttending events to share with people more information about Regenesis, how to get involved 

Content Creation for Sustainability Initiatives (Winter 2024)

The primary goal for this role is to take responsibility for all content creation, with a strong emphasis on producing engaging and impactful reels, and graphics using tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite. The aim is to effectively promote and market sustainability initiatives, conveying their importance and impact to a wider audience through compelling multimedia content.

Grant, Impact and Report Writing (Fall 2023)

The main goal for this project is to effectively manage and enhance the grant application process, ensure accurate and up-to-date grant information through research and database maintenance, compile comprehensive annual impact reports for Regenesis and partner organizations, and actively report and track the impacts of funded projects. Additionally, maintaining clear and timely communication with funders by providing essential event-related data and information is a crucial aspect of this role.
