What is the main goal for this project?

In a $427.15 billion industry, the two main actors are not well-taken care of. Patients, on the one hand, when faced with critical illnesses, don't know where to turn to, and usually, they GOOGLE searching for the essential answers: best hospitals, best treatments, best doctors, what to do...

On the other hand, Doctors are underpaid in many markets and have little access to funding. In other markets like the US, where they get paid very well, they are stressed and overwhelmed with the "business" numbers: how many patients they see, how many tests they should order, which ones, and so on.

Interestingly, there is not one trustworthy body of knowledge to which patients can turn when they face the worst news.

We are here to connect The Best Doctors in the World with Patients and Families and give Patients and Families access to the best options -regardless of where they live- from the best doctors and hospitals worldwide. Doctors, on the other hand, will get the visibility they deserve.

What tasks will learners need to complete to achieve the project goal?

Initial work includes:

  • Market research and analysis of Best Hospitals in selected markets in SE Asia, USA, Canada and Europe. What would be the best way to approach them.
  • Research on patients' sentiments regarding their health care options in selected markets and specific pathologies.
  • Insights on the health insurance ecosystem in those markets, especially looking for global players
  • Advise on the right positioning for these Town Hall events - details will be shared with the students after the proposal is accepted.
  • A sound public relations and communications campaign strategy outline, including channels, key messages and characteristics of best brand ambassadors.
