Details

Are you passionate about graphic design and eager to make a positive impact on children's lives? Join our team and play a crucial role in creating captivating designs tailored for our young audience. In this exciting project, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills in Figma while editing/creating fun illustrations for kids.

By the end of the project, you will complete between 40-80 illustration edits (or illustrations) for our early literacy platform, and/or our social media marketing channels.

Deliverables

By the end of the project, students will:

Engage in Creative Problem-Solving: Tackle exciting design challenges that require innovative solutions and adaptability. Hone your Figma skills as you develop/edit illustrations that align with our platform and resonate with children.

Build Resilience and Expertise: Embrace a growth mindset as you navigate designing for children, some of whom are not native English speakers and depend on clear visuals to interpret meaning. Learn to overcome obstacles and refine your approach, emerging as a more resilient and skilled designer.

Design for Impact: Create visually appealing and educational graphics that captivate and inspire young minds. Your work will directly contribute to enhancing the learning experience and joy of children.

Final Deliverables: Complete approximately 40-80 illustration edits (or illustrations) for our children's platform and/or social media marketing channels.

Mentorship

Work closely with the Head of Product, an experienced educator with a passion for designing educational learning activities for kids. Share ideas, receive feedback, and be creative in your work! Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • Are there any themes or colors that should be introduced?
  • What images, terms, or hints should be included in each design asset?
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
